Following an unstoppable September, October was much more reserved in terms of how many books I digested for the 2016 Reading Challenge. I had a lovely, relaxed week on holiday in Crete with my Granny, which didn’t involve half as much reading as I had expected. As such, I only read three books.

October has flown by! I finished my two weeks temping in insurance (which I hope to never have to return to) and have since been working in a high street store for the last four weeks (and will happily remain there until my contract expires after Christmas), which has taken up much of my time. However, I did manage to complete four books in September. Unfortunately only two went towards the 2015 Reading Challenge.
October 2015 statistics
Total books read: 4
Total pages read: 1,084
Favourite book: Career of Evil by Robert Galbraith
#23 A book more than 100 years old – Antigone by Sophocles: Honour, Courage and Sacrifice (#52)
#31 A book with bad reviews – The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner by Stephenie Meyer: Bree-lliant Revelation (#51)
#64 A book that hasn’t been made into a movie or TV show – Percy Jackson and the Titan’s Curse by Rick Riordan: The Negatives of Audio (#50)
#65 A book written by an author using a pseudonym – Career of Evil by Robert Galbraith: J.K. Rowling Strikes Again (#53)
It was my target to read four books during September, so I’m happy that I achieved that number. However, I now have to read fourteen books in the next two months (accounting for two remaining in a trilogy), so to keep on track I’m going to have to aim to read seven books in November. Wish me luck!
Thirty-seven down, thirteen to go. (Fifty-three read)
