Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Websites I Love That Aren’t About Books

May 10: Top Ten Websites I Love That Aren’t About Books
This week we are (don’t ask me why) celebrating the websites we love. Since we’ve deviated from the bookish somewhat, have an equally random photo of me playing Butterbeer Quidditch Pong with a friend in a bookshop. You’re welcome.

1. Facebook
Who doesn’t love Facebook?! I love seeing what my friends are up to whilst they’re at university and on their travels, and I love the random memes and viral videos that litter my newsfeed.

2. Twitter
I love Twitter as it’s where most of my Potter fandom friends and my Goodreads book club chat. If I don’t have 20+ notifications showing on my phone, something is very wrong.

3. WordPress
Obviously I adore WordPress – there are things that could be improved, but it’s where my blogging began and where I’m still firmly invested. I love the community: reading other book blogs, finding interesting people to follow and discovering amazing new novels.

4. YouTube
I may not be obsessed with YouTubers, but I do have a number that I love to watch in bed in the evenings: SacconeJolys, Zoella and RoseEllenDix (and Rosie) are my favourites.

5. Amazon
I love Amazon: I may not agree with their principles, but providing the choice they do at the prices they do, with all the added Prime benefits means I’m always scouring the site for my next purchases.

6. Netflix
Who doesn’t love to Netflix and chill – I mean, literally?! One thing I hate is waiting a week between watching episodes of TV shows, so the second they’re on Netflix I love to marathon them. I’m currently obsessed with Once Upon A Time, Orange Is The New Black, How I Met Your Mother, The Vampire Diaries and 90210.

7. eBay
eBay has been a site I’ve been obsessed with (and trading on) for over a decade! It’s my goto place for searching for Harry Potter books – if you can’t find one on eBay at some point, you’re never going to find it!

8. Google
My favourite search engine cannot be forgotten. Whatever would we do without it? Use Bing? No, thank you.

9. MuggleNet
I may be slightly biased (since I am a London Critic/Reviewer for them) but MuggleNet is my goto site for any Potter/Jo/Strike related news.

10. Goodreads
I may be cheating with this one, but as it is a tab I constantly have open, I couldn’t neglect to mention it! I love seeing what my friends (and strangers) and reading and I use it as inspiration for my own TBR list, and I love that you can find reviews for literally any book, and find like-minded people to discuss books you loved and loathed with.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. Check out their blog and get involved!

  1. I love Amazon Prime. Save so much money and don’t have to actually interact with people. What more could a girl ask for? I did articles, not sites.

  2. Mugglenet is a great choice! I mostly stick to their twitter account, but I love that site!

Once upon a time is one of my favorite shows, what season are you on?
