Here we are again, another book haul! This month saw my most anticipated book of the year released, “Career of Evil” by Robert Galbraith, which I proceeded to devour in less than 48 hours. It also saw the release of the illustrated edition of “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” by J.K. Rowling (both of which I’ve had on pre-order for months), as well as several other books I am extremely excited about.
Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
The Host by Stephenie Meyer (x2)
Carry On by Rainbow Rowell
According to Yes by Dawn French
The Rose Society by Marie Lu
Life and Death by Stephenie Meyer
Antigone by Jean Anouilh
Antigone by Sophocles
Binge by Tyler Oakley (Signed)
Trigger Mortis by Anthony Horowitz (Signed)
Magnus Chase and the Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan
Magnus Chase and the Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan (Signed)
Career of Evil by Robert Galbraith (x3)
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J.K. Rowling, Illustrated by Jim Kay (x2)
On the Road by Olly Murs (Signed)
Four of these books (Wide Sargasso Sea, Jane Eyre, and the two Antigone’s, should have been hauled in September – I forgot okay?!) are for my MA English, which is both exciting and daunting, so really I only bought 16 books this month (11 if you discount duplicates). I call that a result.
Can we just take a moment to fangirl over the unexpected release of “Life and Death” by Stephenie Meyer. Just when I thought I’d finished the Twilight universe, a new book gets dropped. A* for sneakiness Ms. Meyer!
