I saw this tag on allthingswordy and it was a no brainer for this month, as we all know that October is a big month in the wizarding world (perhaps for all the wrong reasons). I also combined it with a tag I found on fandomsontherun, for even more Potter fun.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Least favourite book?
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Least favourite movie?
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Parts of the books/movies that make you cry?
I have never cried at any part of any of the books, but I can recall two occasions that have me weeping in the films: leaving Hogwarts (PS), and Dobby’s death/funeral (DHP2)
If you could hook up with any character, who would it be?
Hermione Granger: we’re basically BFF’s.
Least favourite character?
Dolores Umbridge: I literally despise this woman more than Voldemort.
“It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live, remember that.” (Albus Dumbledore, PS)
Least favourite quote?
“All was well.” (DH) – simply because it is the end.
Favourite music from the films?
Leaving Hogwarts (PS)
What would your patronus be?
If you could have the resurrection stone, the invisibility cloak, or the elder wand, which one would you choose?
The invisibility cloak, surely that’s a no brainer?!
What house would you be in?
If you could meet any member of the cast, who would it be?
Daniel Radcliffe. He seems like a genuinely lovely guy, and I’d love to be able to thank him for portraying Harry for ten years and doing such an amazing job.
If you were on the Quidditch team, what position would you play?
Were you happy with the ending?
Yes, although the epilogue just made me need to see more of the wizarding world!
How much does Harry Potter mean to you?
Harry has been a huge part of my life for fourteen years (two thirds of my life). The community is absolutely amazing, and it’s crazy to think that people who would never have known each other have been brought together by their shared love of the series – and I firmly believe that the magic will live on for many, many years to come.
Molly: she’s so loving, caring, funny and sweet. I feel as though she’s underrated in favour of the kids (Fred would be my second choice).
Favourite female character?
Besides Hermione, as we’ve already established that she’s my favourite: Minerva McGonagall.
Favourite male character?
Would you rather: A) wash Snape’s hair, or B) spend a day listening to Lockhart rant about himself?
B. Although Lockhart is an annoying twerp, at least I wouldn’t have to touch Snape’s greasy mane (plus Lockhart is pretty harmless).
Would you rather duel: A) an elated Bellatrix, or B) an angry Molly?
B. I hope Molly would see that I’m not her enemy.
Would you rather travel to Hogwarts: A) via the Hogwarts Express, or B) flying car?
A. I’d love to take the long journey from London to Scotland on the Hogwarts Express!
Would you rather: A) kiss Voldemort, or B) give Umbridge a bubble bath?
B. There’s a reduced probability that it would end in my untimely demise.
Would you rather ride: A) a Hippogriff, or B) a Firebolt
B. I’d love to fly on a broom and play Quidditch.
Is there any character you feel differently about in the movies?
I feel as though Cedric Diggory is marginally nicer in the film than the book, and Ginny Weasley is more badass in the books than the films.
Is there a movie you preferred to the book?
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix: I thought the book was too long and dragged for large parts, but the film was action packed.
Richard Harris or Michael Gambon as Dumbledore?
Richard Harris will always be Dumbledore in my eyes.
Your top thing (person or event) that wasn’t in the movies that you wanted there the most?
Ludo Bagman. He was one of my favourite characters in GoF, and it’s sad that we missed out on his crazy charm and sneaky schemes.
If you could remake any of the Harry Potter movies, which one would it be?
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. It’s one of my favourite books, but I really disliked parts of the film which is a shame.
Which class would be your favourite?
Which spell do you think would be most useful to learn?
Accio. It would make my life much easier.
Which character do you think you’d instantly become friends with?
Is there any aspect of the books you’d like to change?
Part of me wishes that Harry and Ginny, and Ron and Hermione didn’t end up together, with perfect little families. I feel like the toll of the war would have had some dramatic emotional effects on them all individually and collectively, and I can’t see how both couples made it.
Sirius Black (Padfoot)
If you could bring one character back to life, who would it be?
Dobby – his death is the only one in the whole series that makes me cry.
Hallows or Horcruxes?
As “always”, that was great fun! If you’re a Potterhead, consider yourself tagged.
