Successes and Failures: Top Ten Books On My Summer TBR List

A few months ago I wrote a TTT post entitled “Top Ten Books On My TBR For Summer 2015“, which featured ten books I intended to read over the duration of the summer. The books, in no particular order, were as follows:

1. The Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J. Maas
2. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
3. Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
4. Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews
5. The Duff by Kody Keplinger
6. Legend by Marie Lu
7. The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness
8. Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson
9. Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins
10. Every Day by David Levithan

To put it simply, I didn’t stick to my TBR. I only read two of the ten I intended on reading; instead I picked up other books, which is not necessarily a bad thing – I’m all about reading what draws your attention at the time. The two I did read were:

July
Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews (6/10)

August
The Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J. Maas (7/10)

I fully intend on reading the other eight books, especially “Vampire Academy” as I’ve been craving something supernatural since I finished ‘The Twilight Saga’ earlier this year.
